Privacy Policy
Last updated August 4, 2026
ForeverFamily is a private home for your family's memories. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
The short version
- Everything you upload stays private to your family. There is no public feed.
- We show no ads and never sell or share your data with advertisers.
- We don't scan your photos or stories for marketing, profiling, or AI training.
- You can export everything and delete your account at any time.
What we collect
What you give us. Your name, email address, and password when you create an account — and the content you add: photos, stories, documents, recipes, and the people, dates, and relationships in your family tree. Family-tree information can include details about relatives who don't have accounts; it's visible only to the members of your family space.
If you sign in with Google. Google sign-in is optional. When you use it, Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so we can create and sign you into your account. We don't receive access to your Gmail, contacts, or anything else in your Google account.
What we collect automatically. Basic technical records — sign-in sessions and server logs (things like IP address and browser type) — to keep accounts secure and the service running. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers, and our only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in.
How we use it
To run ForeverFamily for you: storing and showing your family's memories to the people you've invited, sending the emails the service needs (invitations, sign-in and account emails), and keeping the service secure and working. That's it. We don't build advertising profiles, and we don't sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone.
Who can see your family's content
Only the people in your family space — the members you or another admin invited. Roles control who can edit what. Our team doesn't browse your content; we access it only if something breaks and you ask us to help, or when the law requires it.
Who helps us run the service
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to operate ForeverFamily, and they process data only on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the application and stores your data and uploaded files, encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Resend delivers our transactional email — invitations and account messages. They see the email addresses those messages go to.
- Google handles authentication only if you choose to sign in with Google.
None of them may use your data for their own purposes.
Your data is yours
You can export everything — photos, stories, documents, and your tree — whenever you want, from your account settings. If you delete your account or your family space, we delete the associated content from our systems; residual copies in encrypted backups age out shortly after.
Children
ForeverFamily is built for whole families, but accounts are for adults. Kids can appear in photos, stories, and the tree that their family adds; children under 13 may not create their own accounts.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email account holders before the change takes effect and update the date at the top of this page.
